§ Mr. Dubsasked the Secretary of State for the Home Department whether any Metropolitan police officers have been on duty at Greenham Common during each of the last two years; what has been the cost; and who has paid for their services.
§ Mr. HurdUp to 30 October 1983, the Metropolitan police had provided mutual aid to the Thames Valley police for duty at Greeham Common on only two occasions: from 30 March to 2 April 1983 and from 4 to 9 July 1983. The total additional cost involved, which was met by the Thames Valley police, was £14,000. I shall write to the hon. Member about the cost of the further aid which has been provided since 31 October, when this information is available.
