HC Deb 12 December 1983 vol 50 c319W
Mr. Neil Hamilton

asked the Secretary of State for the Environment how many planning appeals have been made in the latest convenient period for which figures are available against a decision of the Macclesfield district council; and how many of these appeals were upheld by the inspector.

Mr. Macfarlane

An examination of the Department's records shows that inspectors decided 81 cases in which the Macclesfield district council was the local planning authority between January 1982 and November 1983, of which 58 were refused and 23 upheld.
