§ Mr. Wigleyasked the Secretary of State for the Home Department how many persons have been convicted of offences under section 2 of the Disabled Persons Act 1981 since it came into effect; and what has been the total of fines imposed, and the maximum, minimum and average individual fines imposed for these offences.
§ Mr. MellorRecords available to us do not separately distinguish offences under sections 2(a) and 2(b) of the Disabled Persons Act 1981. If the hon. Member would like to have information on offences under section 2(c), I will arrange for the compilation of such figures as can be provided without disproportionate cost, but that would take about two weeks.
