§ Mr. NewtonThe debate on 11 February received a great deal of publicity — [Vol. 36, c. 1279]. My hon. Friend the Member for Hornsey and Wood Green and I have taken the opportunity of reminding right hon. and hon. Members of his invitation in correspondence about discrimination, and it was publicised in a number of journals circulating among disabled people and those who work with them. At least one disability organisation with a wide membership asked members to submit cases of alleged discrimination for investigation.
