§ Mr. Farrasked the Secretary of State for Transport when he expects to provide the pedestrian crossing, promised by 1982, for the A6 at Oadby, Leicester.
§ Mrs. ChalkerWork on the installation of a pelican crossing at the junction of Waldron drive with the A6 trunk road at Oadby is expected to start in June.
The pelican crossing will be replaced later by traffic signals with a pedestrian phase when necessary improvements have been carried out at the junction. To enable this work to be done a draft order under the Highways Act 1980 will be published in the summer.
