§ Mr. Eyre[pursuant to his reply, 20 April 1983, c. 282–83]: Since May 1979, the board has submitted the following detailed electrification proposals for approval by the Secretary of State.

Same schemes also include resignalling or other infrastructure investment, and some also require investment in new rolling stock. The figure for the Tonbridge-Hastings scheme includes the cost of track signalling or relaying necessarily associated with it.
