§ Mr. WaldegraveAbout 75 letters have been received from Members of Parliament on behalf of individualsconstituents or groups of constituents making representations about the level of the supplementary maintenance award. My right hon. Friend is well aware of the arguments being advanced for an increase in the level of the award and will have these in mind when considering the scope for improvements in the level of supplementary allowances for 1983–84.
