§ Mr. MayhewThe only available information relates to prosecutions for parking heavy goods vehicles on the footpath; in 1981 there were 125 such prosecutions by the police in England and Wales, 115 of which resulted in findings of guilt. There will also have been prosecutions and fixed penalty notices issued under other legislation as a result of vehicles being parked on the footpath, but these are not recorded separately.
