§ Mr. Hordernasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer what is the revenue in mainstream corporation tax from companies earning up to (a) £100,000 and (b) £500,000.
§ Mr. WakehamTotal corporation tax on profits earned in 1982–83 is tentatively estimated at
- (a) £½ billion
- (b) £1 billion.
These estimates apply to profits earned up to the limits mentioned, reduced where appropriate for associated companies. The figure at (b) includes the figure at (a).
I regret that similar estimates are not available for mainstream corporation tax only.
