asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer if he will ensure that whatever disposition is decided on for the shipment of 225 kg of narwhal tusks originating from Mirabelle, Canada, on 15 September on British Airways waybill 12578922525 and at present being held by Her Majesty's Customs and Excise at Heathrow as being in breach of the Endangered Species (Import and Export) Act 1976 these tusks will not be permitted subsequently to become available again for purposes of commerce; and if he will make a statement.
