45. Mr. Hardy

asked the Secretary of State for Social Services if he will ensure that unemployed school leavers and other young people are able to pursue educational courses without having to wait until they have been unemployed for three months.

Member for Bishop Auckland (Mr. Foster) on 23 July.—[Vol. 28, c. 329–30.] Guidance on this question has now been issued to local education authorites and the chief supplementary benefit officer has issued guidance to supplementary benefit officers.
