§ Mr. Arnoldasked the Attorney-General if he has any plans for simplifying the procedure for obtaining a legal aid certificate.
The Solicitor-General:In addition to the simplifications implemented in recent years, the Government are now considering a number of others, including the feasibility and desirability of a scheme of postal assessment to determine the financial eligibility of legal aid applicants and the introduction of computers into legal aid area offices.
