§ 23. Mr. Arthur Lewisasked the Secretary of State for the Home Department, pursuant to his answer of 30 July, why, in view of the comments made by the Lord Chancellor on, and the results of, the case in the House of Lords of Michael Evans who was wrongly dismissed as a policeman, he will not recommend to Her Majesty the Queen the cancelling of the warrant of appointment of Mr. Philip Myers, the chief constable then responsible, as an inspector of constabulary.
