§ Mr. Woolmerasked the Secretary of State for Defence (1) whether any British shipping company has been invited to provide a new ferry service between Ascension Island and the Falklands;
(2) if he has yet decided which company will be entitled to provide a new ferry service between Ascension Island and the Falklands; and if he will make a statement.
§ Mr. Wiggin:We have not yet decided which shipping service will support the Falklands garrison. We hope to use a British company provided it is not too expensive.
