§ Mr. Arthur Lewisasked the Secretary of State for the Home Department whether he will introduce amending legislation making it a criminal offence for anyone found to have entered any premises which he does not own or have legal tenancy; and that, whether or not he consumes food and drink belonging to the legal and lawful occupier, he will be guilty of the offence of being on the premises without authorisation.
§ Sir Timothy Kitsonasked the Secretary of State for the Home Department what steps he is taking to introduce legislation to tighten up the laws of trespass in the United Kingdom.
§ Mr. Whitelaw:I am currently reviewing the law relating to trespass, and I shall announce my conclusions as soon as I am able to do so.
