§ Mr. Timothy Smithasked the Attorney-General, further to his reply to the hon. Member for Beaconsfield of 18 November, when he intends to consult interested parties on the consolidation of the Companies Acts; and whether he intends to publish a draft Bill or Bills for this purpose.
The Solicitor-GeneralInterested parties will be consulted in good time to allow consideration to be given to their views in the preparation of the Bill or Bills which it is hoped to introduce in the next Session of Parliament. I would hope therefore that the consultative process will begin not later than Easter of next year, and it is intended to publish a draft Bill or Bills for this purpose.
