§ Mr. Rookerasked the Secretary of State for Social Services if he has any proposals to increase the rates of statutory sick pay to operate from April 1983 from the levels set out in the Social Security and Housing Benefits Act 1982.
§ Mr. RossiIn accordance with the provisions of the Social Security and Housing Benefits Act 1982, the rates of statutory sick pay set out in the Act will be reviewed before April 1983. The results of this review will be brought before Parliament as soon as possible.
