Good progress is being made in the exercise of consolidating the Companies Act. Although it is proving to be an elaborate and difficult exercise because of the exceptional volume and complexity of the legislation in question, it is hoped to introduce a consolidation Bill or Bills in the Session 1983–84 with a view to enactment in 1984.
