§ Dr. BoysonThe ratio of pupils per qualified teacher in maintained primary schools in England fell from 23.1 in January 1979 to 22.5 in January 1982. In maintained secondary schools the comparable ratios were 16.7 in 1979 and 16.6 in 1982.
