§ Mr. Neil MartenPakistan is the recipient of substantial British aid. We are now concentrating on the poor provinces of Baluchistan and the North-West Frontier, bordering Afghanistan. We have recently committed £3.9 million for small irrigation schemes in Baluchistan. Since 1980 we have also committed £12.7 million to assist the relief of the very large numbers of Afghan refugees in Pakistan.
