§ Mr. Peter Rees[pursuant to his reply, 15 June 1982, c. 222]: I would refer the hon. Member to the reply given to my hon. Friend the Member for Welwyn and Hatfield (Mr. Murphy) on 8 June—[Vol. 25, c. 1–3]. The Government are committed to enhancing the status of standards in the United Kingdom, and will shortly be publishing in a consultative document their detailed proposals with that end in view.
