§ Mr. Pavittasked the Secretary of State for Social Services if he will set up a statutory joint committee for district nursing.
§ Mr. Kenneth ClarkeThe United Kingdom Central Council for Nurses, Midwives and Health Visitors established a working group to consider the various committees referred to in the Nurses, Midwives and Health Visitors Act 1979. Among the proposals made by the group in a consultative paper published on 30 April 1982 was that there should be a district nursing joint committee.
The working group has asked for comments on its paper by 6 September 1982 and its recommendations will then be put to the council. We await the recommendations of the council.
