Mr. NicholasWinterton asked the Secretary of State for the Environment if, in reaching a decision on whether to build London's third airport at Stansted, he will take into account the opposition of the North of England regional consortium to the siting of the airport at Stansted.
§ Mr. Giles ShawThe North of England regional consortium has submitted evidence to the Stansted inquiry. The inspector is to hear the case and will give due consideration to this when making his recommendation to my right hon. Friends the Secretaries of State for the Environment and for Trade.
