asked the Secretary of State for the Environment how many houses and flats constructed since 1964 were built by industrialised or semi-industrialised systems; and if he will estimate the total value of the contracts.

Since 1964 about 480,000 local authority and new town dwellings have been built by proprietary industrialised or semi-industrialised systems. The total value of the contracts involved could be calculated only at disproportionate cost.
