§ Mr. BrittanEmployment figures for nationalised industries are compiled only on an annual basis and in respect of mid-calendar years. The latest published figures for nationalised industries as a whole relate to mid-1980. Corresponding figures for mid-1981 will be published in an article on "Employment in the public and private sectors 1976 to 1982" inEconomic Trends, December 1982 issue.
