§ Mr. McKelveyasked the Secretary of State for Energy what is his latest estimate of the cost of each pressurised water reactor of the type proposed for Sizewell at current prices.
§ Mr. John Moore[pursuant to his answer, 24 May 1982, c. 241]: I have been advised by the CEGB that due to an error in the cost of initial fuel quoted in the board's statement of case for the Sizewell B PWR the information given to the hon. Member on the cost of the station was incorrect. The CEGB advises that the correct estimated cost of the station is £1,206 million (including initial fuel) a reduction of some £17 millions on the figure given in the previous answer. A correction to the statement of case will be issued shortly.
