HC Deb 30 July 1982 vol 28 c809W
Mr. Arthur Lewis

asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer whether, in view of the increased travel expenditure incurred by workers during the rail dispute, he will consider introducing a scheme to enable fares paid by workers going to and from their work to be allowed as proper expenses on their tax returns.

Mr. Ridley

I refer the hon. Member to my reply to his question on 6 July 1982.—[Vol. 27, c.55.].
