§ Mr. Arthur Lewisasked the Secretary of State for Transport if, pursuant to his policy of increasing the productivity and efficiency of British Rail, he will seek to make arrangements to enable all British Rail employees to obtain experience outside of British Rail in private industry as a right on a similar basis to that allowed to the chairman and board members.
§ Mr. EyreThe Government support the British Railways Board in its efforts to increase productivity and efficiency. The question how this should be done is, however, entirely a matter for the board.
