asked the Secretary of State for Scotland if he will list the particular issues of any newspapers or periodicals that have been withdrawn or withheld from Peterhead prison during the latest 12 months because they could present a serious threat to good order or discipline.

The publications that have been withdrawn or withheld on these grounds by the governor of Peterhead prison in the past 12 months are as follows:

  • Issues 18, 19 and 20 of Fight Racism Fight Imperialism
  • Issue 529 of Labour Weekly
  • Issues 1778 and 1832 of Newsline

asked the Secretary of State for Scotlant if, for each of the following Scottish prisons, he will indicate the particular issue of any newspaper or periodical that has been withheld or withdrawn during the last year because it could present a serious threat to good order or discipline: Aberdeen, Barlinnie, Edinburgh, Inverness, Perth and Shotts.
