Mr. Peter Robinson

asked the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland how many applicants from West Belfast and how many from elsewhere have been allocated a house in Poleglass; and if he will list the housing estates and districts of origin of each successful applicant.

This is a matter for the Northern Ireland Housing Executive, but I am informed by the chairman that 276 applicants from West Belfast and 142 from elsewhere have been allocated a house in Poleglass. The districts of origin of these 418 applicants are:

asked the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland how many of the present applicants for the Poleglass housing estate are A1, A2 and A3, respectively; and how many in each of these categories originate in that part of West Belfast within the Belfast region.

This is a matter for the Northern Ireland Housing Executive, but I am informed by the chairman that at 30 June 1982 there were 10 A1, 11 A2 and 40 A3 applicants for housing at Poleglass and that of these 7, 9 and 26 respectively originated from West Belfast.

asked the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland if he will publish (a) the total number of present applicants who have specified Poleglass housing estate as a first or second choice and (b) the origin of all such applicants by estate and district; and how many of these applicants are from that part of West Belfast within the Belfast region.

This is a matter for the Northern Ireland Housing Executive and the chairman has supplied the following information:

At 30 June 1982, 618 applicants specified Poleglass housing estate as a first or second choice, 486 were from West Belfast. The origin of these applicants by district is as follows:

Information about estates as opposed to district of origin is not readily available and could be compiled only at disproportionate cost. The figures for Poleglass district include the estates of Twinbrook and Poleglass.

asked the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland what is the total number of houses planned, but not constructed, at Poleglass.

About 1,600 further houses are planned, of which 350 are under construction.

asked the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland if he will publish the number of each type of dwelling completed at Poleglass by the Northern Ireland Housing Executive.
