§ The Prime MinisterYes. The total public expenditure provision in 1982–83 for capital investment by local authorities at regional airports amounts to £41.6 million. It represents the largest approved capital expenditure programme of its kind since the war, and compares with an annual average capital expenditure of £3 million in the years 1976–77 to 1978–79 and over £23 million in the years 1979–80 to 1981–82.
