§ Mr. BlakerYes, though we continue to monitor the effectiveness of all our weapons in the light of the changing threat. We have, for example, introduced a number of improvements to Blowpipe since it first entered service in 1975 and further enhancements, both to the missile and the aiming unit, are now in development and will be introduced in the next few years. Further modification will take account of the lessons of the Falkland conflict when we have had time to assess them properly.
