§ Mr. Giles ShawMy right hon. Friend has received 17 letters about the proposed Chalybeate private hospital in Southampton, including one from the hon. Member for Southampton, Itchen (Mr. Mitchell), enclosing a copy of a petition of some 800 signatures which had been addressed to Southampton city council. My right hon. Friend considered carefully all representations in this case, but decided not to call in the planning application and no public local inquiry was held.
