§ Dr. VaughanIn 1978, 3,063 summonses for failure to deliver annual returns or accounts were issued against the directors of 622 companies; in 1979, 5,033 summonses were issued against 1,344 directors of 891 companies; in 1980, 3,720 summonses were issued against 1,058 directors of 588 companies; in 1981, 3,222 summonses were issued against 935 directors of 532 companies.
