§ Mr. Roperasked the Secretary of State for the Home Department if he is now in a position to give the date when he anticipates the recommendations of the Boundary Commission for England will be laid before Parliament now that the commission has published revised proposals for every English county or metropolitan borough or indicated its intention not to do so.
§ Mr. MayhewMy right hon. Friend intends to present an Order in Council giving effect to the new constituencies as soon as possible after the final recommendations of the Boundary Commission are received. The commission hopes to complete its review by the end of 1982 and to submit its report as soon as practicable thereafter.
