§ Mr. MacfarlaneThere is no such directive. By signing my Department's form WLF1, purchasers of tortoises undertake to keep them as directed by my right hon. Friend under section 6 of the Endangered Species (Import and Export) Act 1976. The Act specifies a maximum fine of £400 for failure to comply with such a direction.
