§ 23. Mr. Stallardasked the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland whether it is his intention to ask Her Majesty to revoke the charter of the New University of Ulster.
§ Mr. ScottI have recently appointed a steering group to advise on the steps necessary to establish a new university institution to replace the New University of Ulster and the Ulster Polytechnic. Among the matters to be considered will be the constitutional procedures required to bring the merger into effect. Until the steering group has reported, I cannot say what procedures will be needed nor how they may affect the charter of the New University of Ulster.
