§ Mr. Buchanan-SmithWith the exception of dairy products, our imports of basic foodstuffs for human consumption from the original six member States of the European Economic Community were very small prior to our accession. In 1980, the landed price for butter was 590 per cent. of the 1970 price and that for cheese was 500 per cent.
