§ Mr. ChannonYes. Twenty-eight paintings have been accepted in part satisfaction of capital transfer tax and allocated to the Walker art gallery, Liverpool. A list follows.
The net cost, borne equally on the Votes of my Department and the Department of the Environment is £53, 277.
The property accepted in part satisfaction of capital transfer tax comprises the following paintings:
