§ Mr. Nicholas Wintertonasked the Secretary of State for Employment what effect he estimates that the new general agreement on tariffs and trade multi-fibre arrangements will have on employment in the textile and clothing industries.
§ Mr. AlisonIt is too early to make any such estimate. We must await the outcome of the negotiations which will take place during the course of this year on the Community's bilateral agreements to implement the new multi-fibre arrangements.
