§ 28. Mr. Arthur Lewisasked the Secretary of State for the Environment on what date he received a communication from Mr. John Lovesey, the managing editor of The Sunday Times (sport) dated 3 November, being a copy of a communication which he had sent to the secretary of the Amateur Boxing Association regarding Mr. W. Cox; whether he intends taking any action in this connection; and whether he will make a statement.
§ Mr. MacfarlaneI received a copy of this communication in late November. Its contents are strictly a matter for the governing body of boxing—the Amateur Boxing Association—and are such that they might ultimately become the subject of court action. This is not a matter for Government, and I do not intend to take any action nor make any statement.
