§ Dr. Edmund Marshallasked the Secretary of State for Education and Science, of the 66 proposals to cease to maintain schools determined by him under section 12 of the Education Act 1980 up to 31 October 1981, how many he approved to which more than (a) 100, (b) 500 and (c) 1, 000 local government electors objected, respectively, and how many he refused to which fewer than 100 local government electors objected.
§ Dr. BoysonThis informaion is not readily available from my Department's records and could be obtained only at disproportionate cost. My right hon. Friend considers all such statutory proposals on their merits in the light of 103W all matters relevant to the case including any statutory objections. In so doing, he has regard to the substance of such objections as well as to their numerical strength.
