asked the Secretary of State for Education and Science whether he is now in a position to make a statement on the Government's response to the third report from the Education, Science and Arts Committee; "Interim Report on Works of Art" (H.C. 275 of Session 1981–82).

The Government hope to publish their response within the next month or so.
