§ Sir Brandon Rhys Williamsasked the Secretary of State for Social Services what would be the savings in 1981–82 if the pension age for women were 65 years, including the abolition of the wife's dependency addition for men aged 65 years and over, but taking into account increased expenditure on supplementary pensions for couples where there is no income other than the husband's retirement pension.
