§ The Prime MinisterResponsibility for consumer affairs within the Department of Trade rests ultimately, as it always has done, with the Secretary of State. When decisions have been reached on the ministerial arrangements best suited to help him discharge this responsibility in the future, these will be announced in the usual way.
