§ 26. Mr. Hardyasked the Secretary of State for Industry if he will assist the parishes of Anston, Dinnington, Firbeck Gildingwells, Harthill, Kiverton Park Laughton, Letwell, Thorpe Salvin, Todwick and Woodsetts, in view of the fact that their rates of unemployment exceed 25 per cent. and that their area assisted status has been removed.
§ Mr. MacGregorAssisted area status, as the hon. Member knows, has always been based on travel-to-work-areas. The parishes concerned are situated in the Sheffield and Maltby travel-to-work-areas. While the Sheffield TTWA is to become non-assisted on 1 August this year, the Maltby TTWA will continue to have intermediate area status.
