asked Her Majesty's Government:

Whether they will update the information provided in the Written Answer of 1st February 1982, on university study awards for Northern Ireland students for the academic years 1980–81 and 1981–82; and, if the information is not currently available for each of these years, whether they will indicate the earliest date by which it could be provided.

In the academic year 1980–81 the following awards were made to Northern Ireland students for courses at universities:—

(ii) Republic of Ireland 636 17
The expenditure on these awards is estimated as:—
