§ Mr. Staintonasked the Secretary of State for the Environment if, when considering further water industry references to the Monopolies and Mergers Commission as referred to in the Official Report, 7 December 1981, column 581, he will include the Anglian water authority with particular reference to its geographic coverage, management from the centre, finance loan structure, pricing practices and the desirability of making a direction under section 12 of the Competition Act.
§ Mr. KingI am considering the next water industry reference to the commission with my right hon. Friend the Secretary of State for Trade who expects to make an announcement very shortly.
