§ Mr. Rookerasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer if, in view of the greater interaction of the income tax and social security system so far as women aged 60 to 64 years are concerned for the year 1981–82, he will arrange for the Inland Revenue to amend its recording system in order that the scale of the interaction can be ascertained.
§ Mr. Ridley[pursuant to his reply, 11 February 1982, c. 474–5]: No. I am satisfied that the arrangement set up in 1980 for notification to the Inland Revenue of new pension awards is improving the information available in this area and that the expenditure of further resources would not be justified.
