§ Q42. Mr. Eggarasked the Prime Minister what was the cost of the implementation of the Facilities Agreement 1974 between the Government and the Civil Service unions in the financial year 1980–81.
§ The Prime MinisterThe figure of some £14 million for paid time off in the current financial year is an up-to-date estimate based upon a survey carried out in 1978. I regret that information is not available about the cost in the financial year 1980–81. The new agreement being negotiated with the Civil Service non-industrial unions will provide a basis for more reliable and up-to-date cost information as well as improved control.
